Refund/Exchange Information

The last day to return/exchange books purchased for SPRING 2024 semester is May 13 for sessions beginning May 6. The last day to return/exchange books purchased for summer semester is July 8 for classes beginning July 1. All other late starting sessions have ONE WEEK from your session start date for a full refund.

You must have your original receipt for any refund/exchange. A $5 fee will be charged to reprint a receipt for any reason.

PPL textbooks are returnable within ONE WEEK of the first class meeting.

Textbooks may be returned within the refund period. You must have original receipt. New books must be in absolutely new condition and free of all markings. Shrink-wrapped items such as textbook packages must be returned in original condition, as in unopened.

Digital Books may only be returned within 2 weeks of purchase *No Exceptions* OR prior to the SCB stated session refund deadlines whichever occurs first. Digital books are not returnable once they have been registered/accessed.

General Books not required for a class such as special order books and study aides are not returnable.

Defective Merchandise will be replaced at once without charge*. Please present the original receipt.

*Electronic Merchandise is guaranteed to be free of manufacturer defects over the counter for three days after purchase. It must be accompanied by a cash register receipt and in its original condition. After the three day period, all defective electronics must be returned by the purchaser to the manufacturer as indicated by the product warranty, under the terms of the warranty.

Non-Textbook Merchandise is refundable and exchangeable within one week from date of purchase. Merchandise accepted only if it is in its original condition and packaging and accompanied by a cash register receipt. No refunds allowed on merchandise covered by State or Federal Health Laws.

Software is not refundable or exchangeable. Defective software cases will be handled by the bookstore's software specialist.

*If you need to ship your textbooks for a full refund prior to the refund/exchange deadline please ship your return back to: Schoolcraft College Bookstore 18600 Haggerty Rd, Livonia MI 48152 along with a copy of your packing list.

Orders not picked up within 10 business days of being filled will be restocked and refunded minus a $15 restocking fee. Exceptions will be made for the store being closed during holidays.
